Lorde

Why see Lorde?

Solar power Tour

If Lorde felt any pressure following up Melodrama, which received glowing reviews and topped the Billboard charts, she's not letting it show. The New Zealand pop sensation returns this year with her huge follow-up album Solar Power. Unlike her previous albums, fans won't be able to grab this album on CD, instead Lorde is creating an environmentally kind alternative to CD whilst still providing the high-quality wonders we've grown to love.

We've already seen her stun Coachella and deliver great performances on The Tonight Show, we can't wait to see what she has in store for this extensive run of US dates.

Just Beyond! Oh my Lorde!

Lorde gave more than a show, she gave herself wholly into the entire night…singing without pause and a clear presence on stage! Her music, old and new was both nostalgic and inspirationally spiritual! She gave such an amazing performance with a very personal touch, speaking frequently with the audience in an intimate, unrehearsed manner! Her beauty exudes through her words, lyrical style and a mature, deep spiritual understanding . She gave a grateful performance that was flawless…she was genuinely happy to be threre, but even more so it seemed, happy to have us there with her! She connecting through her amazing music - absolutely love the new album Solar and the ethereal setting! What a night! ... Read more

Green Light

What a completely awesome concert! Lorde delivered with sultry, sleek sets and hair. She performed both her old and new songs, and even included one that has never been released. According to my daughter, you know it if you are a true fan. The energy in the room when she belted our Green Light was electrifying. I definitely was jumping and fist pumping with them. She had asked us to release all energy and negative feelings and by the end of the night we all Felt like we had been in a therapy session with your best girlfriend. One of the best!! ... Read more

More produced than it could have been

It would have been nice to hear Lorde a little less produced, without all the obvious backing tracks of not only vocals (hers included) but of much of the instrumentation. I'm not sure if anyone on stage was actually plugged in or not - they were obviously talented musicians, but in this day and age, it seems we are relegated to a massive album listening party rather than a truly live performance. Lorde sang 100% - no doubt and we love her as a performer, singer and all around artist. Would just be nice if a singer and band could stray a little off the beaten path without worry that the backing track would continue on. I'm sure if you took a stopwatch, the length of each song would match the released track to the second. Not sure why they feel the need for such an over produced performance given the obvious talent Lorde has, but it's her choice as an artist. ... Read more
