Villarreal got her start in bands on the scene in her native Monterrey, Mexico, before achieving massive success with with Grupo Limito in the 90s and early 2000s. Since leaving the group to go solo in 2004 she has continued to delight, with three of her albums reaching top-10 in the US Latin charts, as well as two number 1 albums in Mexico.
